Year 6 – Keep Calm and Carry On
Our History topic was summarised this week with our Evacuation Day. We had so much fun dressing up and immersing ourselves into different activities in order to understand what it would have been like to be evacuated. Some of the activities included taking part in a wonderful wartime English and Maths lesson, performing some drama, talking about how Basingstoke was affected by bombing, and painting some beautiful postcard pictures.
Overall, the children have had a wonderful time learning about WWII and their enthusiasm and interest has made the topic very enjoyable for us to teach! Well done Year 6!
