Year 3 – Thursday 19th March

Hello wonderful Year 3,

Today’s thought of the day:

A little task to show you care:
Whilst you are at home, do you have a relative that is also at their home? Could you facetime or call  them at some point today and read them a story? Sing them a song? Share your homework? – Get permission from your grown up! Make someone smile today like you make your teachers smile everyday!

Email us!
Here is our email address: year3@stmarksce.org.uk  Remember to drop us a line, we would love to hear from you, help you if you need it, see your fabulous work or just have a chat!

Note to parents: Hopefully the tasks we are setting the children can complete independently but do get them to drop us a line if they are struggling. We also understand that you have other family commitments or may be working from home, so please do not worry and complete what you can with your child. Thank you for your positives emails and comments, this means a lot to us.

We are here to help so do email us!

So far we have learned a lot about Max and his family of hedgehogs including where they live, what they like to eat and what they look like.

Thursday and Friday’s task: Computer or drawing by hand
Can you create a non-fiction text about hedgehogs using any information you can from the first four chapters of the book?

  • This could be a fact card, fact file or poster for example.
  • Think about how you will set out your text.
  • You could include bullet points, ‘Did you know….?’ facts. a labelled diagram, a paragraph of facts or a combination of several of these.
  • Be creative with your presentation
