28 June 2024 – Newsletter – also Summer Funday on Sat 29th June

A note from Mr Applegate

Well done to…

  • Our girls football team who represented St Marks at St John’s Primary. They showed great teamwork and resilience!
  • our pupils who have been doing various end of year tests. Younger children won’t be aware that they’ve done them :)
  • Our pupils who took part in a multi-sports tournament this week against other schools.

Remember:

  • Parent drop-in Monday 1st July 8.30-9.30. Come and join Mrs Delves and Mrs Elms as we discuss managing upcoming transitions- this may be to their new class or for Year 6’s it is to a new school. We will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.
  • FOSM Summer Fun Day on Saturday 29th. Open 12pm-3:30pm. Inflatables, Games, Food, Entertainment and more!
  • To be kind to one another (between adults) when we are parking and travelling in the morning and afternoons. We’ve had a few issues recently with angry drivers being unkind to parents, in front of children – which of course is completely unacceptable.

See you tomorrow at the FOSM Summer Fund Day!. Mr Applegate :)

Look after our animals!

We need your help!

Our new Kindness Team

Thanks to Edward’s idea, we now have a Kindness Team. They are available during break and lunch to help any children who need a hand, want to play a game or would like to chat to someone. They have these funky vests too so can always be found! The children applied for the positions, and our current Kindness Team are:

Year 3 – Konrad, Kara, Thea
Year 4 – Avani, Lily, Edward
Year 5 – Aaron, Eden, Chloe
Year 6 – Renee, Sebastian

⭐ Attendance Updates ⭐

Our target over the year is 97%. Last year’s attendance was 95.8% – above national levels, but we’d like it to be much higher.

Our current attendance percentage is 96.0%. Oh no :(
