Note for parents:
* Hopefully your children will enjoy working through these activities and can do them independently.
* We completely understand it may be difficult to complete all these tasks due to other family commitments or you are working from home, so please do not worry; complete what you can with your child.
* The work we have set should take about 2 hours maximum spread throughout the day.

Ongoing Daily Activities

English

Yesterday you listened to David Walliams reading Spoiled Brad and created a role on the wall for the character ‘Brad’. Today you are going to work through the PowerPoint and then create a character description of Brad. You may want to listen to the story again to ensure you use evidence from the book when writing your description.

Resources you will need:

Maths

Today in maths we are looking at converting metres to centimetres.

  1. Complete the PowerPoint slide with revision questions.
  2. Work through the rest of the PowerPoint but don’t worry about the last page with the challenge task.
  3. Download the maths worksheet and complete or write the answers on a notepad.
  4. Have a go at the challenge task slide on the PowerPoint if you would like to have a go.

Resources you will need:

Science

Our bones make up our skeleton and remarkably an adult skeleton has 206 bones!  How do we get those bones moving though?  It takes more than just our joints.

  1. Read the ‘Mighty Muscles’ power point and then investigate which muscles we use to move if different ways.
  2. Try doing the actions to help you think about what your body is doing and then fill in the table.
  3. If you can’t print the table, you can always draw your own. Remember to use a ruler!
