Dear Parents and Carers,
We just wanted to share with you all how incredibly proud we are of your children. They have shone like the brightest stars this week and worked harder than we could have imagined. The resilience and dedication they displayed in all their tests so far, demonstrate what wonderful young learners they are.
We only have one final test to sit this week before they can enjoy a well-earned rest. Their final maths reasoning paper will be sat in the first session of the morning and be completed by morning playtime at 10:30am. After the test, children will have an extended playtime and their PE lesson. Children will ideally need to wear their trainers but are not to panic if they arrive in school shoes.
In the afternoon, each class will enjoy each other’s company watching a film and some snacks. We will provide some popcorn and crisps and they are free to bring a small treat of their own if they wish.
On Monday, we are holding our Year 6 Olympics as part of our ‘Agents of Change’ activities. The whole day will be devoted to playing indoor and outdoor games to earn points for our teams, PE kits needed for this day please. Each child is encouraged to bring in a small donation to take part (whatever you can donate will help and no donation is too small). With the money raised, the winning team will decide the charity/ies that the money will be donated to. We will keep you informed of their choices so you know how your donation will help change someone’s life for the better.
We wish them so much luck for their final test. I think they will all be super-tired tonight and ready for an early night so they can enjoy their day tomorrow.
Thank you again for all your support – it makes the world of difference.
