Year 5 Wednesday 15th April
Good Morning Year 5!
Wasn’t yesterday another glorious day! There’s nothing I like more than to look at the bright blue skies overhead when the sun is shining! I hope you are managing to get out daily for a walk or bike ride like I am.
Mrs Poole and Miss Fowler added some suggested activities to do this week. There are so many wonderful ideas that Miss Thomas and myself are going to try! I have attached my shadow drawing today which I made into a colourful picture. I used crayon as my medium and I have to admit, once I got into it, I thoroughly enjoyed colouring my creation. It’s something I haven’t had the opportunity to do in quite a while and I found it very relaxing. It took me a while to find the right object and then I had the challenge of making sure the sun was behind my object whilst I drew round the shadows! I think it may have worked better early in the morning or late in the afternoon rather than at midday. Why might this be? What happens to shadows throughout the day?
Remember, there are no expectations for you to complete any of the activities this week but if you do, please take a picture and email them into Miss Thomas and myself using the year 5 email. We love looking at your wonderful creations. You could always email your artwork for the video montage that will be put together on the school website too.
Keep smiling year 5 :) We are missing you lots.
