Good Morning Year 3
How are you today? Did you have a delicious breakfast? So we loved seeing how your grown up’s joined in your art lesson the other day. If there is any lessons that you would like us to do and share, then drop us an email and we will see what we can do. Are you still joining in with Joe for PE? Presentation – Please remember to do your very best work. Handwriting and presentation are as important at home as they are in school. You can complete your work in a book. in your homework book (if you have it at home) or if you need lined or squared paper you can get it here.
Note for parents:
* Hopefully your children will enjoy working through these activities and can do them independently.
* We completely understand it may be difficult to complete all these tasks due to other family commitments or you are working from home, so please do not worry; complete what you can with your child.
* The work we have set should take about 2 hours maximum spread throughout the day.

Maths
Today, we are continuing our work on Fractions using the White Rose Maths Lessons. This will involve watching the video clip and completing the worksheet. There is an answer sheet to check your work.
Please complete Week 1 – Lesson 3 -Tenths – In this lesson you will find out when a whole is split into 10 equal parts it is called tenths. In this lesson pictures, bar models and part whole models are used to help you understand what tenths are and how they are made up.

Things to remember:
- Tenths means a whole has been split into ten equal parts.
- One whole is the same as 10/10 so 1 = 10/10
- For question 7 you will need to remember 5/10 = 1/2
Science
Bringing our ‘What’s inside?’ topic to a close, can you teach your family all about the skeleton and how it works? We’d like you to be a science professor and tell your family some of the facts that you have learned this half term. You could even demonstrate a few things for them!
